What is WOLF?
WOLF stands for Wolverhampton Online Learning Framework. WOLF is the University Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) which allows students to access their modules via the Web, giving access to lecture notes, host forums, is used for electronic submission of assignments and to access other course resources. WOLF can be used both on and off campus.
How do I Access WOLF?
WOLF works best with a standards-compliant web browser, but will work as well with Internet Explorer or derivatives. Recommended browsers are Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari and Konqueror. Mozilla and Internet Explorer are provided on all University computers.
WOLF works even over dial-up connections, but some features may take longer to operate over slower connection speeds, such as uploading and downloading large files, and using courses with a large content menu.
WOLF hosts a variety of content types, some of which may require accessing via additional software. The following software is provided on all University computers: Windows Media Player, Microsoft Word/ Word Viewer, Microsoft Powerpoint/Powerpoint Viewer, and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
How do I Log In to WOLF
✤From any PC in the University, use the desktop shortcut for 'WOLF' and you will be logged in automatically.
✤Directly using the following URL: http://wolf.wlv.ac.uk. Whilst off campus or using the wolfradiolan wireless network you will be redirected to a secure site and asked to enter your University user ID and password. On a university PC you will be logged in automatically.
✤In your web browser, go to the University home page, choose 'Current Students', and from the 'Student Home page' use the direct link to WOLF. Whilst off campus or using the wolfradiolan wireless network you will be redirected to a secure site and asked to enter your University user ID and password. On a university PC you will be logged in automatically.
